Pressdia supported the successful launch of Breaking Into Tech: Internship as a Pathway, a new book focused on internships as an entry route into the technology industry.
Authored by Oluchukwu Chiadika, the book was formally presented on Saturday, August 29, at an event held physically in Yaba, Lagos, with participants also joining virtually via Zoom.
The launch introduced the publication while opening a wider conversation around the role internships can play in giving aspiring professionals practical exposure to the technology industry.
Eunice Evbota hosted the launch, while the panel featured Olajumoke Oyeyemi, Founder of CV2Essence; David Sokefun, Co-founder and CEO of Odar; and Angel Alphonsus, Growth, Revenue and Partnerships Strategist.
As a supporting partner, Pressdia contributed to the media visibility of the book launch, extending awareness of the publication and the career conversation at its centre.
Tobiloba Akanni, a representative of Pressdia, said the partnership was informed by the relevance of the book’s focus to people trying to find practical entry points into technology careers.
“Breaking Into Tech addresses a real career question, and we saw value in supporting a publication that gives that conversation greater attention,” Akanni said.
By focusing specifically on internships, the book draws attention to a pathway that can give aspiring professionals early industry experience and a clearer understanding of how to move from learning into practical work.
“Our partnership is about giving the book stronger visibility and helping its message reach more of the people it was created for,” Akanni added.
The launch was also supported by other organisations including TechCabal, Techpoint Africa, Pullen and Eventpadi.
